About Riley's Light

Riley Nuce was a shining light in every room he entered. Known for his kind heart, contagious smile, and deep love for others, Riley had a passion for sharing the light of Jesus in all that he did. Whether he was with family, friends, or classmates, he led with compassion, joy, and a servant's heart.

Riley began his education at CrossPointe Christian Academy, where his strong foundation of faith was nurtured. As a sophomore, he made the decision to transfer to Pike County High School to pursue his growing interest in agriculture by joining the Pike County FFA program. Riley quickly fell in love with the hands-on work, the sense of community, and the values rooted in agricultural education. He was excited about the future and determined to make a difference.

On March 7, 2021, Riley tragically passed away in an ATV accident. His loss left an immeasurable void in the lives of his family, friends, and community. But even in the midst of that heartbreak, Riley’s light continues to shine.

The Riley’s Light Foundation was created to carry forward Riley’s legacy by investing in the lives of students who share his love for agriculture and his heart for others. Through the Riley Nuce Shining Light Scholarship, we support seniors at both Pike County High School and CrossPointe Christian Academy—bridging the two places that helped shape who Riley was.

Riley’s life was a beautiful example of faith, kindness, and purpose. Through this foundation, we are dedicated to keeping his light shining—guiding and inspiring others just as he always did.
